Thomas Keller is offering up brunch and dinner specials at his Beverly Hills eatery on Mother’s Day. Brunch includes Asperges Blanches, Terrine de Foie Gras de Canard and Lobster Benedict, while Sunday supper includes Pot roasted Guinea Hen with bacon & onions, Delta green asparagus and soft polenta. Additionally, your mom receive a complementary set of macarons upon arrival. Sweet!

Baltaire, the new contemporary meets classic steakhouse in Brentwood is launching brunch starting Mother’s Day weekend. Executive Chef Travis Strickland will feature an upscale, yet approachable menu that includes housemade baked goods and sauces and locally sourced ingredients. Guests can enjoy brunch items like Eggs Benedict with English muffins made from scratch, organic eggs, and the option to add smoked salmon, pork belly, and Prime filet; in addition to pistachio croissants, smoked trout quiche, and sides like the popular Lobster Mac and Cheese and Duck Fat Roasted Potatoes, and restaurant standards such as the 8 oz. Prime Filet Mignon and Dover Sole fileted and deboned tableside. Downtown Los Angeles’ fine dining destination, Patina is opening their doors from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for a special Mother’s Day Brunch; the restaurant is usually only open for dinner. The prix-fixe, three-course menu by Executive Chef Paul Lee features a luxurious take on traditional breakfast dishes, as well as some homey favorites.  Highlights include Duck Egg Sunny Side Up with asparagus and béarnaise; Ricotta Agnolotti with English pea soup; and Roasted Chicken and Buckwheat Waffle with maple syrup glaze.  For dessert, moms can indulge in a Chocolate Praline Bar with blood orange and a jasmine ice cream.

SHADE HOTEL

Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach will host an extravagant brunch on Sunday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Zinc at Shade, the hotel’s restaurant and lounge. Guests will enjoy a series of indulgent food stations and activities for children, with seating available outdoors on the terrace and in the courtyard.  Each mom will receive a special limited edition gift from Trina Turk, while supplies last. Mother’s Day brunch will include traditional favorites such as freshly scrambled eggs, Eggs Benedict, classic and Vanilla Bean Brioche French toast, with side selections of house-made hash browns, bacon, sausage and spicy chicken mango habanero sausage. At various cooking stations, guests may also custom-order scrambles and omelets as well as pancakes with natural maple syrup, whipped butter and assorted fresh toppings.
