Miami Luxury Guide: Haute Weeknights
Here in the Magic City, there are plenty of extravagant events and inviting locales to keep Miami busy on the weekends — but after a long day at work, sometimes your weeknight needs a little extra pep in its step, as well. To make your Monday through Thursday evenings nights to remember, celebrate the work week with these haute weeknight happenings:
MONDAY: “Charcuterie Night,” db Bistro Moderne
The Miami brainchild of French culinary mastermind Daniel Boulud, who has become one of the world’s most revered restauranteurs, db Bistro Moderne is Downtown Miami’s American twist on a classic Parisian bistro. From 5 to 8 p.m. every Monday evening, guests of the chic French favorite can head to the in-house Wine Cave for endless plates of only the finest charcuterie: house-made pates, terrines and cured meats, as well as accouterments like olives, mustards, marmalades, cornichons and pickled vegetables. Included in the price, pair your dish with a handpicked glass of red, white or rosé from db Bistro Moderne’s very own sommelier, Alan Feldman, and start your week with a charming “je ne sais quoi.” db Bistro Moderne is located at the JW Marriott Marquis, at 255 Biscayne Boulevard Way. Charcuterie Night is priced $35 per person.
TUESDAY: “Groom on Tuesday,” Well Groomed Gentleman
While ladies are usually the ones into pampering, Miracle Mile’s Well Groomed Gentleman understands that men sometimes need to be spoiled, too. Each Tuesday, this haute-spot-for-him not only offers stylish gents 20% off their visit, but couples that delectable discount with a complimentary whiskey tasting — the perfect way to start their week off right. Well Groomed Gentleman is located at 130 Miracle Mile, #102.
WEDNESDAY: “My Boyfriend is Out of Town,” Bâoli Miami
Every Wednesday night, head to South Beach and escape to the Côte d’Azur for a “My Boyfriend is Out of Town” party like only the swank and trendy Bâoli Miami could pull off. Start your evening with a late (and delicious) Asian-meets-Mediterranean dinner, and stay for the hottest beats, unbelievably beautiful people, sparkling women, neon theatrics and inventive cocktails: like the “Spicy Paloma,” which has Avion Silver Tequila, passion fruit puree, grapefruit juice, cayenne pepper, fresh and shaved jalapeño, egg whites and lemon juice. At Bâoli Miami, the only rule is to make your Wednesday one to remember — and come back the following week to do it all again. Bâoli Miami is located at 1906 Collins Avenue.
THURSDAY: “Thursday Night Dinner Party,” Villa Azur
Truly one of Miami’s best kept secrets, the French Mediterranean gem, Villa Azur, throws a Thursday night soiree unlike any other place in town. From 9:30 PM to whenever, these weekly themed dinner-turned-parties starts with a glass of wine from the bar, and when you get to your candlelit table, continue with a menu of indulgences like a 3-tiered “Le Tremendous” raw bar, homemade foie gras, or a 32-ounce Châteaubriand and chocolate-bow-tied tiramisu for two. Order a “The Perfect Kir Royale” from their Luxurious Cocktail menu, and dance the night away with flowing champagne, sparklers, Miami’s best-dressed women and the hottest beats. With Villa Azur’s plush cream furnishings, gold-clad decor, clear outdoor tent, billowing silk canopies, white-lit trees and glamorous guests, you won’t believe you’re in Miami — let alone, on a Thursday night. Villa Azur is located at 309 23rd Street. Reservations for its “Thursday Night Dinner Party” are required.
