Coach Presents the Inaugural Los Angeles MPower Luncheon

Just days after Mother’s Day, influential LA-based mothers came together to attend Every Mother Count’s Los Angeles MPower Luncheon.
The Coach-presented event was attended by Malin Akerman, Angela Lindvall, Jessica de Ruiter, Liberty Ross, Kilo Kish, Elizabeth Berkley and Cher Coulter and hosted by Christy Turlington Burns, Jessica Capshaw Gavigan and Erin Thornton.

For the past four years, Christy Turlington Burns has hosted an annual Mpower fundraiser luncheon at Michael’s New York in celebration of motherhood as well as her non-profit, Every Mother Counts and its efforts to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother.
The inaugural luncheon in LA, held at another Michael’s (in Santa Monica) featured talks with EMC grantee Jennie Joseph, LM, CPM (Executive Director, The Birth Place/Commonsense Childbirth), Racha Tahani Lawler, LM (The Community Birth Center – Los Angeles), and EMC board member Heather Armstrong (dooce.com). There also was a special musical performance by Jade Castrinos, featuring her parents Jennifer Brannick and George Castrinos.
