Haute Living magazine hosted their annual dinner in Miami last night at Tamarina, a lux new Italian restaurant on Brickell. The dinner celebrates the one hundred wealthiest, most powerful and philanthropic people in the city, and many of them were on hand to be honored.
The festivities began on the terrace with a reception replete with Dom Pérignon and the restaurant’s famous oysters. Decor featured not only glowing cases with nautical Ulysse Nardin watches, but also Lamborghinis from sponsor Prestige Imports, right on the balcony. Event sponsor Property Markets Group had their logo displayed alongside bios of each of the one hundred members.
Miami Heat players showed up in full-force, including Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Adrienne Bosh, Ray and Shannon Allen, and Alonzo and Tracy Mourning. Teammates Allen, Bosh and Wade took a moment to chat before heading to their respective tables. “It’s an honor to be included this year,” said philanthropist Swanee DiMare, who was featured as the issue’s Woman of Substance.
Other VIPs of the non-basketball variety included Ana and Sean Wolfington, Mike and Alicia Piazza, Jeff and Yolanda Berkowitz, and Swanee and Paul DiMare, Brett David, Keith Menin, Edgardo and Cristina DeFortuna, who enjoyed a four-course dinner centered around splashy purple centerpieces designed by Karla Events.
After dinner, Haute Living CEO Kamal Hotchandani, took to the mic and thanked the event’s sponsors and all the honorees who joined the magazine for the annual event. At 10:30pm a second wave of revelers brought new life to the party, which went on past midnight.
