Miami: Al and Nancy Malnik’s Annual Make-A-Wish Garden Party

Every year, Al and Nancy Malnik host a sublime garden party at their ocean front Beaux-Arts style estate in Ocean Ridge, FL— just south of Palm beach. The event celebrates the upcoming InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball, taking place this fall, on November 7, 2015.

The theme for the upcoming gala was revealed by Shareef Malnik, the Gala’s Chairman, as a Greek mythology concept. The gala ahead will be the 21st for the South Florida chapter, and with each passing year, the event’s sets, performers and costumes get better and better. They also keep raising more money too. In 2014 they raised a record high of $2.5 million to grant 500 wishes to children with life-threatening diseases.

The party brought everyone out in their finest warm-weather Sunday attire, including Robert Hill, Gala Host and InterContinental® Miami General Manager, with wife Breda Hill; Norman Wedderburn, CEO and President of Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida; actress and filmmaker Gabrielle Anwar, who has graced the InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish® Ball stage for the past five years as celebrity emcee; Maxwell Blandford, Vice President of The Forge Restaurant | Wine Bar; Adriana De Moura, star of “The Real Housewives of Miami,” with husband Frederic Marq; television personalities Fabian Basabe and James Davis; and Miami socialites Linda Levy-Goldberg, Danny and Meryl Weiss, and Alison Zhuk.
