Fortnum and Mason Celebrates New Beauty Space

Luxury London department store Fortnum and Mason is celebrating the launch of its recently renovated new second-floor beauty space with several events and collaborations. The area, which is set to open in its Piccadilly locale, offers a sanctuary for beauty and fragrance lovers keen to sample some of the retailer’s finest brands.

Having been in the personal care business since the 1920s, its little wonder that Fortnum and Mason has recently decided to update its beauty and fragrance offerings. The new space, which has been described by the department store as “an elegant sanctuary of pampering and an escape from the bustle and stresses of everyday life,” has undergone major changes and is set to open soon to the public.

As a celebration of its debut, the store has worked with Harper’s Bazaar to create a special limited collector’s edition of the magazine’s May issue, which features a woman in a heart against a white background wearing a necklace with the initials F&M. Inside, Harper’s Bazaar beauty director Sophie Bloomfield has curated a list of eight beauty essentials that customers can find in the new space, such as Roja Parfums Taif Aoud EDP, which has been created exclusively for Fortnum & Mason, and 4160 Tuesdays London Centrepiece EDP, a fragrance inspired by the store’s ice cream parlour. Bloomfield will also host a special VIP preview of the new beauty and fragrance space in Fortnum & Mason on 12 May. From 6pm, visitors can join the beauty director and hear her talk with a team of experts about the department store’s history, and afterwards shop the new beauty offers.
