London: Charlotte Olympia Opens At Harvey Nichols
Known for its quirky, fun and flirty footwear, and with celebrity fans such as Alexa Chung and Thandie Newton, luxury footwear brand Charlotte Olympia has found a home at Harvey Nichols with the opening of its first shop-in-shop in Europe within the decadent London department store.
Spanning 377 sq.ft across the retailer’s first floor, the new boutique has drawn its inspirations from old Hollywood glamour, which aligns perfectly with the designer’s ultra-feminine luxury aesthetic. “My grandmother was always very elegant, she never went anywhere without her hair set in waves and red lipstick which inspired me to do the same. My mother is also very glamorous, she loves leopard print and getting dressed up and that is certainly something I have inherited from her,” explains Charlotte.
Known for her iconic platforms, Charlotte Olympia has built up a cult following based around her “feminine and nostalgic” signature. As well as shoes, the designer has expanded into accessories such as shoulder bags and clutches, which complement the overall feel of her brand. “I am delighted to have been able to create the perfect environment for my collections at Harvey Nichols,” she says. As well as having the chance to wander around the glamorous space, which includes gold and perspex accents together with the signature leopard print that Charlotte loves, customers will be able to shop the SS 2015 Collection. This line, titled “It Happened Out West,” will sit with an edit of pieces from the “Encore” collection, various accessories and items from the “Feline” range.
Find the new Charlotte Olympia boutique at Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge, London, or shop the collection online here.
