John Varvatos Expands Bespoke in London

U.S menswear label John Varvatos is continuing on from the success of its made-to-measure program by extending the bespoke service exclusively to its London flagship store in the capital’s trendy and decadent Mayfair area.

Running from February 19 through to March 1, the initiative will invite dapper London gentlemen to its store in order to take part in a tailored suit fitting. And whilst John Varvatos is big business stateside, the brand is hoping to build a loyal clientele in Europe too. The London flagship has been in operation since August last year and currently remains the only European ambassador for the company. Nevertheless it remains the largest one for the brand, coming in at 10,000 sq.ft and adding to other locales in North America and Bangkok.

Marketed as a “modern take on custom suiting,” the John Varvatos event will see staff on hand for private one-to-one consultations and fittings. Those customers wishing to make a purchase will also be treated to a waiver on all additional fees for the made-to-measure suits, which have been exclusively suspended for the set time period. Following the success of a similar event in New York, which saw customers treated to private consultations with John Varvatos tailors flown in from Italy, the brand hopes to introduce this concept to its London clientele too. And with tailoring taking centre-stage in the capital, with exclusive brands lining landmark spots for suits such as Savile Row, there can be little doubt that John Varvatos will soon find its feet in London.

The event runs from February 19 to March 1 at John Varvatos, 12-13 Conduit Street, Mayfair, London.
