The People’s Choice Awards –  5 p.m. Nokia Theatre L.A. Live
Ben Affleck will accept the Humanitarian Award tonight at the 41st annual People’s Choice Awards, hosted by Anna Faris and Allison Janney.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 8

Audi’s Golden Globes Week Celebration – 7 p.m. Cecconi’s
Stars arrive, naturally, via Audi at the luxury auto brand’s annual Golden Globes kick-off party. Expect to see a modern-meets-abstract decor courtesy ofTony Schubert at Event Eleven including a black, white and gray color palette with pops of yellow.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 9

AFI Awards Luncheon – Noon at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills
For the first time ever, 11 motion pictures (instead of the typical 10), as well as 10 television programs, will be honored at the American Film Institute’s A-list luncheon. Expect to see the casts of Foxcatcher, The Imitation Game, Whiplash, Fargo, Mad Men and Game of Thrones at this daytime fete.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 10

Film Independent Filmmaker Grant and Spirit Award Nominees Brunch – 11 a.m. BOA Steakhouse
In anticipation of the 30th annual Indie Spirit awards on Feb. 21, the day before the Academy Awards, this year’s nominees—of whom include Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Chastain and Marion Cotillard—will enjoy a haute breakfast before a presentation of grants to promote the continued success of independent, original, “artist-driven films made with an economy of means” are given at this Piaget-presented brunch.

BAFTA/LA Tea Party – 2 p.m. Four Seasons in Beverly Hills
The creme de la creme of stars join members of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts/Los Angeles for an English-inspired teatime of scones, cucumber sandwiches and cocktails at this chic event, presented by Jaguar and Mulberry.

Art of Elysium party – 6:30 p.m. Hanger 8
Amber Heard will receive the Spirit of Elysium Award at Art of Elysium’s eighth annual event. Kate Bosworth, Dave Annable and Matt Bomer, who will be on hand to experience four collaborations from performance artist Marina Abramovic; sbe Events & Catering is providing the evening’s cuisine.

4th Annual Sean Penn & Friends HELP HAITI HOME Gala benefitting J/P HRO 
- Montage Hotel, 6:40 p.m.
Sean Penn and Bryan Lourd present this swanky event for the J/P Haitian Relief Organization for the fourth time with a little help from master of ceremonies Anderson Cooper.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 11

HBO Golden Globes After Party – Circa 55, Beverly Hilton
HBO’s annual indoor/ outdoor poolside bash at Circa 55 is the one to beat.  It is the most-nominated of the networks with 15 nods thanks to shows such as “True Detective”“Girls,” and “Veep.” This years theme is Old Hollywood: expect to feel like you’ve wandered into a 1930s movie set thanks to a golden staircase and a plethora of cascading gardenias and cream-colored garden roses.

NBCUniversal’s Golden Globes After Party – Parking Garage Rooftop, Beverly Hilton
NBC Entertainment, Universal Pictures, E! and Focus Features will celebrate alongside a bevy of stars including hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler; Miss Golden Globe Greer Grammer and Cecil B. DeMille Award-recipient George Clooney. At this year’s bash—sponsored by Chrysler, Hilton and Qatar—guests will enjoy a grand buffet and musical performance by Harley Viera-Newton.

Fox, 20th TV, FX, Fox Searchlight Viewing Party & Post-Show Celebration – The Fox Pavilion, 9900 Wilshire Blvd. at Merv Griffin Way
Expect to see stars from “American Horror Story,” The Book of Life, Gone Girl, The Grand Budapest Hotel, “Homeland,” How to Train Your Dragon 2, “Louie,” Wild and most-nominated film Birdman at this off-site fete.

Warner Bros. and InStyle Post-Golden Globe Party – Oasis Courtyard, Beverly Hilton
You know it’s a party when Tom Ford is involved. The haute designer is constructing a tent over the Beverly Hilton Hotel fountain with the aim of transporting partygoers to a modern mountain lodge in the Australian Blue Mountains.

Paramount Pictures After Party – The Stardust Room
The studio will toast with talent from “Selma,” “Interstellar,” “Noah” and more.
