Carousel Guest Chef Series 2015

Carousel, the Marylebone restaurant and culinary hub for emerging chef talent, has announced its guest chef series ‘Carousel presents… for the first quarter of 2015. Between now and April, the 50-cover restaurant space on Blandford Street in Marylebone will play host to some of the world’s best up and coming talent; each cooking alongside Carousel’s resident chef and co-founder Ollie Templeton.

Ollie, 23, who gained experience in the kitchen at celebrated London restaurant Moro, will work alongside the guest chefs to create a set lunch and four to five-course dinner menu, paired with wine, each available for a limited time only. All of the chefs have been hand-picked by Ollie and his team for their innovative style and international appeal, and the residencies are an opportunity for them to showcase their own unique food philosophy and gastronomic talent to London’s diverse and food savvy diners. Recent collaborations have included Selin Kiazim (Kopapa, Providores), Javier Rodriguez (Noma, Viajante, Tetsuya’s), Laura and Harry Cummins (El Celler de Can Roca, Frenchie) and Tommy Forster (St John, Bocca di Lupo, Trullo). Perennial Italian chef Giorgio Locatelli also recently hosted his own supper series ‘Pizza Locadeli’ at Carousel with his wife Plaxy.

The 2015 guest chef series at Carousel kicked off in January with food writer, chef and founder of the acclaimed Vietnamese Supper Club, Uyen Luu, followed by talented Swede Henrik Noren, one of the founders of cult Stockholm restaurant GRO who, along with his co-founder Magnus Villnow, previously worked at the renowned F12 restaurant in the Swedish capital.

From 27th January Carousel welcomes the cerebral Tom Ryalls, a chef who comes with a wealth of experience gained at both St John Bread & Wine and Moro, as well as his extensive travels through Spain and Japan. New York ramen legend Yuji Haraguchi, of the hugely popular Yuji Ramen hits the restaurant on April 1, and Carousel’s very own Ollie Templeton will be hosting chef residencies later in the year.

A set dinner menu is £35 per person and set lunch from £15 (wine and other drinks will be billed as ordered), payment is taken when booking to avoid food wastage. Lunch service is between 12pm and 3pm with one dinner sitting from 7pm, Tuesday through to Saturday.
