Michael Shannon, Imogen Poots Check Out ShowStoppers

Oscar-nominated actor Michael Shannon (Man of Steel, Revolutionary Road and Boardwalk Empire) and actress Imogen Poots (28 Weeks Later, Jane Eyre and Need for Speed) attended Wednesday night’s opening-week performance of Steve Wynn’s ShowStoppers in the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas.

A production with dazzling scenery and costumes, ShowStoppers is composed of the many quintessential musical numbers from some of the most celebrated composers and lyricists to ever grace American theater stages. From staple grand opening chorus numbers to intimate duets, ShowStoppers pays homage to the many lasting anthems of musical theater. The production, executive produced by Steve Wynn, chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts, includes a hand-picked selection of his favorite numbers that make audiences literally stand up and cheer – true show stoppers.

After the show, director Philip Wm. McKinley greeted Shannon and Poots backstage where they showered the production with compliments for the cast’s incredible physical stamina, soaring vocals and the impressive musical catalog featured.
