Emirati Designer Fatema Fardan Launches Her Maiden Collection in Dubai
Pioneering Emirati Fashion designer, Fatema Al Fardan recently launched her Maidan Collection to Dubai’s fashion scene.
For her Maidan Collection, Fatema’s inspiration came from the fifties and sixties. Set off by skirts, jackets and trousers, menswear during this period was given a feminine twist in that era – elements which Fatema sought to endow her collection. Other details were taken from nature in the form of floral patterns and soft shades of pink, blue and beige. She also used techno yet traditional fabrics which she blended with Jacquard, silk and types of lace thus making for a dynamic yet very wearable, feminine collection.
