Worn By Women: Maurice Lacroix The Masterpiece Le Chronographe Squelette
As women continue to satisfy their quests for style in complicated timepieces, Worn By Women takes a look at a very special timepiece by Maurice Lacroix, The Masterpiece Le Chronographe Squelette. We had a wonderful visit with Maurice Lacroix recently in New York City and took a look at Le Chronographe Squelette on the wrist.
Le Chronographe Squelette features an impressive design which uses a skeleton movement to shape time. Using precision mechanics along with a contemporary openwork design, the beautiful dial is a maze of skeletal parts accented with a stunning slate gray metallic sapphire dial.
The Masterpiece Le Chronographe Squelette is powered by a Mechanical, manually-wound caliber ML 106 movement which is developed, manufactured and assembled in-house by Maurice Lacroix. Functions include hours, minutes and seconds indicated by central hands along with small seconds at 9 o’clock on the dial and a 45 hour Power Reserve.
Maurice Lacroix uses a technical innovation to enhance precision and keep the most accurate time by incorporating a lever under the hammer which prevents the timepiece from compromising its accurate time-keeping.
The case of Le Chronographe Squelette is 45mm and created in steel with a mix of polished sunray and brushed surfaces to create a beautiful look. With impressive hand decorated bridges plated with black gold, all of the designs flow perfectly throughout the timepiece. Fitted with a black hand-stitched crocodile-skin strap, with matching blue stitching, Le Chronographe Squelette is part of a Limited Edition of 188 pieces created by Maurice Lacroix.
