Treatment Of The Month: Klapp Cosmetics Tridermis Lifting Treatment
Situated in salubrious West Hampstead, Kalma Spa has a menu of treatments that could leave even the most seasoned of spa goer lost for choice. But if you’re looking to lift and tighten the skin on your face – without resorting to the surgeon’s knife – in time for the Christmas party season, try the Klapp Cosmetics Tridermis Lifting Treatment.
It’s not for the faint hearted but if you’d prefer a productive facial that delivers results (as opposed to one where layers of products are lathered on and off your face as you lie back and think of England making for an enjoyable but ultimately somewhat ineffective hour), you’ll be thrilled with the Klapp Cosmetics Tridermis Lifting Treatment.
Sure, the therapist – Haute Time recommends asking for L Salem – looks tiny and docile, but those trained fingers of hers will prod and massage your facial muscles and it isn’t always blissful. Make no mistake: once your therapist has pinned you down on the treatment table, don’t be surprised if she uses (what feels like) her forearms, elbows and knuckles to stimulate collagen (that precious protein we all need to preserve if we want to stop our skin for sagging south) production.
But if you can’t handle it, panic not: the Klapp Cosmetics Tridermis Lifting Treatment isn’t just a facial treatment – the session also involves an heavenly head and shoulder massage. We’d love to be able to describe this part in more depth for you, dear reader, but as L delivered long, smooth, stress relieving strokes (a sublime experience) around our shoulders, we found ourself drifting in and out of sleep.
Indeed the entire setting at Kalma, from the calming music to the Oriental inspired decor, is designed to encourage you to relax and soothe away the stresses and strains of twenty first century life. And at the start of the treatment you can expect considerate finishing touches like herbal tea and dried fruit – all of which add to this boutique spa’s charm.
Sadly all too soon the 75 minutes were up and it was time to inspect our visage to see whether the Tridermis treatment had delivered the desired results: namely a more youthful complexion.
Happily it has – 10 days down the line, we’re still admiring our smooth, shiny, baby soft skin that’s begging to be booked in for a course of Tridermis treatments. Furthermore friends claim that we’ve knocked at least three years off our face. Job done.
At £110 per treatment (with a minimum of three advised), this isn’t the cheapest treatment in town but for radiant, red carpet worthy skin it’s well worth the wedge.
