The Swiss watchmaker teamed up with Tashkeel based artist Myneandyours to bring a unique local artistic touch to its new Dubai space, celebrating the official inauguration of a 9th subsidiary.
Over two days the watch brand invited members of the press, bloggers, long term partners, retailers and VIP customers alike to discover their new UAE space, in the presence of the brand’s CEO Jean-Marc Jacot.
“We are delighted to celebrate the official opening of our Middle East, India and Africa subsidiary with our long-term friends, partners and journalists and with the support of Myneandyours’ playful yet intricate designs,” said Jean-Marc Jacot, CEO of Parmigiani Fleurier. After 17 years of presence in the region through retailers and distributors, and the opening of our first ever studio in Dubai with Damas back in 2007, it is safe to say that the Middle East has always been at the forefront of our activities. With a complete team now in place in Dubai, we aim to invest even more time and efforts into enhancing our retail visibility, brand awareness and business development for the zone. Our goal is to reach 20 point of sales and 15% of worldwide sales for this part of the world by the end of 2015.”
Located in Platinum Tower, JLT, the Swiss watchmaker now has a new home in a 200 square meter space entirely designed and refurbished to reflect the brand’s graphics and visual references. In a desire to make the space unique, Parmigiani Fleurier invited digital and street artist Myneandyours to develop custom pieces of artwork to adorn two wide pillars. “This collaboration means a lot in my development as an artist, because it showcases some of the most intricate, meticulously composed artwork I have ever delivered, said Marwan Shakarchi, the creative behind Myneandyours. The essence of Parmigiani Fleurier lies in its craftsmanship and personality, which I was instantly drawn towards. To come across a brand well in line with my own ethics and endless endeavour to create work so perfectly crafted is all the same refreshing and inspiring.”
With Parmigiani Fleurier Distribution JLT (Jumeirah Lake Towers) created back in January 2014, the company added a 9th subsidiary to its list of fully-owned companies, completing the series that already included Asia, UK, Americas, Italy, Russia, Germany, France and Brazil, and acknowledging the strong position of the Middle East, India and Africa into its worldwide presence.
