The Ice Rink Opens at Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
Winter arrived early on the Las Vegas Strip on Friday night with the opening of The Ice Rink at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Perched high above the heart of the famed Las Vegas Strip at Boulevard Pool, guests enjoyed snow showers, skating on real ice, roasting s’mores by the fire, curated cocktails and seasonal food offerings.
This year, The Ice Rink features an expanded skating area of more than 4,200 square feet of real ice, light snowfalls, ‘Date Skate’ Mondays where three beloved holiday movies are shown on the resort’s digital marquee, ‘Industry Skate on The Strip’ Wednesdays where DJ’s turn the rink into unique outdoor nightlife experience, and ‘Throwback Thursdays’ complete with music from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. Guests can enjoy curated cocktails such as the Campfire Delight and seasonal food offerings including the immensely popular fireside Ss’mores kit. Snow showers occur every 30 minutes Thursday through Sunday evenings between 6 and 10 p.m. throughout December.
The Ice Rink is open now through Jan. 4. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to midnight and Saturday and Sunday from noon to midnight. Special holiday hours of noon to midnight will be in effect Dec. 22 through Jan. 2. All day skating access is $15, and from Monday through Friday, all day skating access for Nevada residents is $10. Visitors are allowed to bring their own skates or can rent a pair for $5. Skate aid rentals are also available for $10. Admission to the unique winter atmosphere surrounding The Ice Rink is free.
