Dwyane Wade’s A Night on The Runwade 2014
November 18th was the celebration of the 3rd annual A Night on The Runwade presented by Carnival Foundation, for his Wade’s World Foundation. Host Dwyane Wade was joined by his beloved wife Gabrielle Union and Miami Heat teammates like Chris Bosh, James Ennis, and Shawne Williams. The reception was dimly lit, had a DJ playing downtempo tunes, and two lavish automobiles on display provided by The Collection which the guests eyed while sipping Gentlemen’s Jack by Jack Daniels. Part two featured a tasting extravaganza with restaurants like Blue Collar, Tongue & Cheek, and SUSHISAMBA serving delightful dishes to everyone. Invitees could also bid on silent auction items such as a Dwyane Wade original custom Hublot watch, a trip to the Bahamas for two, or even an original Dwayne Wade painted NBA logo man piece.
Following the drinking and dining, everyone was escorted into another area for the fashion show featuring the latest designs from Tom Ford, Givenchy, Balenciaga, Fendi, and more. Host Dwyane Wade & Gabrielle Union thanked all of the sponsors and awarded money prizes to foundations that are putting forth an effort to better their communities. Wade’s sister, Tragil Wade, further explained the Wade’s World Foundation and how its helping kids in Chicago and South Florida. Miami Heat reporter Jason Jackson announced the winners of the silent auction, which raised over $25,000 for the cause. “This event gives me the unique opportunity to include two of my greatest passions, fashion and giving back to my community, in one exciting night. I’m proud to continue A Night on the RunWade for its third year, and am looking forward to seeing this season’s new collections on the runway,” said Wade.
