World of Fashion Wraps up with Diane Van Furstenburg’s ‘Journey of a Dress’ Exhibition
In celebration of four decades of empowering women with a dress that wraps around the body, World of Fashion 2014 has concluded with a travelling exhibition, ‘Journey of a Dress’ to Dubai whereby a variety of the American designer’s iconic wrap dresses were displayed.
A collection of 13 wrap dresses will be on display at Mall of the Emirates through October 31st. As part of the ‘World of Fashion’s biggest fashion campaigns to date, the exhibition follows previous viewings in Moscow and Los Angeles. It tell the tale of how Diane von Furstenberg entered the fashion industry during the 70s and made her mark through the wrap dress – a garment that has come to symbolize independence for all women.
