Studio Gang Reveals Design for new 14 story residential tower

After much anticipation, Studio Gang Architects has released fresh renderings for the prismatic residential tower that will be completed by 2016 in the Design District. Based off an angular, lantern-like shape, the project is a collaboration between Kobi Karp Architecture, Miami Design District Associates and Dacra and L Real Estate.

The renowned firm Studio Gang has a lot to brag about, beginning with their Aqua tower in Chicago (the country’s single tallest building designed by a women), and now this contemporary reinterpretation of what Jeanne Gang, founder and principal of Studio Gang Architects, calls a “Florida Room.” Among the plans are the integration of solar shading, rainwater collection, 20,000 square feet of retail spaces, rooftop pool, 76 condos, and rippling op

With Studio Gang’s principle of exo-spatial high-rise designs, the building will have 76 residential units that will frame the relaxing panoramic views of Biscayne Bay. These shaded, open-air rooms provide both a thermal buffer for the interior and an outdoor space for relaxing and entertaining, ” Gang explains.
