Upcoming Haute Events: Jason Derulo Headlines Macy’s Glamorama and More
There’s never a shortage of haute events in San Francisco. As the weekend draws near, it’s time to start planning your calendar. Here are some happenings worth checking out:
Jason Derulo at Macy’s Glamorama
Singer/songwriter Jason Derulo headlines Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama 2014, which celebrates this year’s theme “Fashion Rocks” at the Golden Gate Theatre on Friday, Sept. 12th. Get ready for a haute merger of the acclaimed Fashion Rocks television event with Macy’s signature mix of pop-culture, style, music and dance. No word on whether Derulo will bring his equally fabulous girlfriend Jordin Sparks to the 32nd annual event, benefiting AIDS Emergency Fund, Glide Foundation and Project Open Hand. Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star contest winners Before You Exit will also perform. And for the first time, you can shop the runway after the show. The after-party kicks off at the legendary Warfield.

Looking ahead to later in the month: Mark your calendar for Napa Valley Rocks!, taking place Thursday, Sept. 25 to Sunday, Sept. 28. The earthquake relief effort will bring together community members, chefs, vintners, and business owners for four fun-filled days to “sip, savor, shop, shake & support” the many Napa Valley residents and businesses affected by 6.0 quake on Aug. 24.
