The clock is ticking down to its September launch, but a few lucky VIPs were fortunate enough to preview Ryan Seacrest’s first foray into fashion at a private event last week as he previewed his new Ryan Seacrest Distinction collection.

The media mogul showed off his new line of men’s tailored clothing and accessories, which will be available exclusively at Macy’s and macys.com in Sept 2014.

The “American Idol” hosted wanted to create a line of clothes that were both stylish and accessible for a guy like himself: confident, stylish and active (the latter is an understatement!).

Like Seacrest himself, the line is part traditional and part modern. It incorporates clean lines, striking color stories, textural juxtapositions, and bold styling.

Influenced by classic menswear and iconic looks, Ryan Seacrest Distinction interprets traditional with a new eye. Masculine signatures, geometric shapes, proportion, texture, pattern, and color, are combined in unexpected ways for a classic meets modern look.

All RSD garments are part of the “Style Made Smart” color matching system, which allows customers to coordinate various shirts, ties, and jackets without thinking about it. Jackets, pants, shirts, and ties are labeled with the number of the color group they match. Expect to see basic shades of black, grey, blue and brown.
