That means, of course, that an endless string of parties are in store for the actors, directors, producers and crew members responsible for your favorite TV shows. Here is a sneak peek at the shindigs in store for your favorite celebs—from Kerry Washington to Matthew McConaughey to Bryan Cranston—this week in L.A.
THURSDAY, AUG. 21
AUDI
Cecconi’s, 8764 Melrose Ave., West Hollywood
It’s all about Audi at the brand’s annual Emmy awards bash. Guests will arrive at Cecconi’s by Audi A8 L TDI vehicles, the brand’s fuel-efficient luxury flagship sedan. Expected guests at the event, produced by Event Eleven’s Tony Schubert, include Fred Armisen (Supporting Actor, “Portlandia”), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Supporting Actor, “Modern Family”), Jon Voight (Supporting Actor, “Ray Donovan”, Julie Bowen (Supporting Actress, “Modern Family”), Kate McKinnon (Supporting Actress, “Saturday Night Live”) and Ty Burrell (Supporting Actor, “Modern Family”).

Expect to see a full roster of this year’s nominated clients at the haute event. Being CAA, there are, of course, a plethora.
SATURDAY, AUG. 23
BAFTA LOS ANGELES TV TEA PARTY
SLS Beverly Hills Hotel, 465 S. La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles will host its very proper afternoon tea at the SLS Hotel. The event, in partnership with Jaguar and BBC America, is elegant, formal and very, very chic. Expect to see Uzo Aduba (Orange Is The New Black), Angela Bassett (AHS: Coven), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), Jim Carter (Downton Abbey), Nigel Lythgoe (So You Think You Can Dance), Bill Maher (Real Time with Bill Maher), Margo Martindale (The Americans), Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abbey) and Stephen Merchant here.

Showtime will fete its 24 2014 nominees at a bash held at the tony Sunset Tower Hotel. Expect to see Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, Lizzy Caplan, Beau Bridges, Allison Janney, Matt LeBlanc, Don Cheadle, Jon Voight, Edie Falco, William H. Macy and Joan Cusack rocking out to singer KT Tunstall at the bash, which is sponsored by Audi and Heineken.

Many of NBC’s 46-—count ’em—nominees are expected at this pre-Emmy party, held at West Hollywood’s BOA Steakhouse. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot newlywed Adam Levine and the new late night leader Jimmy Fallon.
THE MOTION PICTURE & TELEVISION FUND’S THE EVENING BEFORE PARTY

A who’s who of Hollywood elite—including producers, directors, and actors—always attend this annual shindig, which, despite its lengthy guest list, is completely private. Re: what goes on at the Evening Before stays at the Evening Before.
MONDAY, AUG. 25
GOVERNOR’S BALL

3,800 guests are expected to arrive post-awards show at the mother of all Emmy parties. Patina Catering and chef Joachim Splichal (his 19th year of Emmy culinary duties) will provide the menu of filet of beef followed by chocolate s’mores, though. Entertainment includes the Red Hot Band, guest vocalistJudith Hill, Extreme Beam and Debbie Allen Dance Academy dancers and performance ensemble String Theory.
HBO
Pacific Design Center, 8687, Melrose Ave., West Hollywood
HBO always hosts the best and most anticipated parties of any awards weeks, but this year is particularly big as “True Detective” stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are expected to attend. The network has 99 nominations in total, including 19 for “Game of Thrones.”

Expect to see the casts of “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad” celebrating their final seasons at the AMC/IFC bash.
