10 Looks We Love From the Oscar de la Renta Fashion Show
Crisp blue skies and a breathtaking crystal blue lake served as a backdrop for this year’s Oscar de la Renta fashion show presented by Saks Fifth Avenue for the League to Save Lake Tahoe. The Oscar de la Renta Resort 2015 Collection showed 64 looks on the runway this year. We can’t get enough of these 10 runway looks.
This was the 45th year celebrating this wonderful summertime event in Tahoe in partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue and The League.
It began with the Bill Blass, Saks and The League in 1969; selling out a month before the event this year was a testament to the event’s cache and history!
This was the third year the event was hosted on the Schumacher Estate in Incline Village and is wonderful venue for this event.
Riccardo Benavides assisted with the styling of the event again this year.
Saks San Francisco has a new General Manager, Robert Arnold-Kraft. This was his first Tahoe show, which he’s very excited about. “What an amazing year I’ve had, and honor it’s been continuing this annual tradition with Oscar de la Renta. The unique setting for the fashion show and luncheon, framed by the stunning Tahoe waters helps raise funds to keep Tahoe blue,” he enthused.
This was a record year of grossing fundraising efforts at $780,000.
The New York fashion week package went for $60,000 which is a record-breaking bid for this particular package. Cyril Seligman was the winning bidder.
Other auction highlights were: Punta Cana sold for $26,000; Oscar de la Renta watercolor sold to Komal Shah for $16,000. Live auction raised in total $220,000.
The past few years, ODLR hasn’t shown their fur collection in Tahoe, but this year, the beautiful collection was showcased.
Here are a few more scenes from the gorgeous day.
