49ers Celebrate Opening of New Stadium in Santa Clara
The 49ers officially opened the $1.2 billion stadium in Santa Clara with a ribbon-cutting ceremony complete with oversized red scissors with gold-colored blades in keeping with team colors. 49ers CEO Jed York was joined on stage by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, coach Jim Harbaugh, Patrick Willis and Joe Staley to cut the ribbons. The stadium’s opening has planted the NFL in Silicon Valley for the first time.
Fashion on the Square Is Here July 19th – 27
The 10th Annual Fashion On The Square (FOTS) will be happening throughout the Bay Area at various venues July 19 – 27, 2014. The Front Porch Presents: Homegrown
Wente Vineyards and The Front Porch (Karl Wente’s band) will come together for the fifth year to celebrate local Bay Area music talent through The Front Porch Presents: Homegrown, a unique three-part concert series taking place at Wente’s Estate Winery. You won’t find chairs or tables at Homegrown – guests bring their blankets and relax on the lawn. For the all-day concert on August 30, Wente will have two stages set-up to showcase the nationally acclaimed artists, and guests won’t go hungry or thirst as there will be local food trucks and of course, Wente Vineyards wine.
