The FiDi gave a warm welcome to Natoma Cabana on its opening night, July 16th.  This is the latest creation from 2013 Empire Builders of the Year, Dennis Leary and Eric Passetti, which breathes new life into the former John Collins space.

Leary and Passetti have already seen success with their first two ventures, Trocadero Club and Café Terminus. Natoma Cabana is a much different concept that lands at the intersection of beer-garden chic and boutique lounge – mixing urbanism, artwork from graffiti artist Ian Ross, sprinkled with garden party décor including wicker chairs, lounge chairs and palm trees.

An electric crowd of SF VIPs and hipsters enjoyed cocktails and beats by DJ Knightwood for an evening that felt more like a summer gathering with your closest friends than the typical SF bar opening.  Guests included a mix of Leary and Passetti’s loyal foodie following, SF movers and shakers both young and old, along with supporters of Ian Ross. The party flowed into the night with extended hours and guests remained at full capacity making for a successful opening night at Natoma Cabana.
