San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood is infamous for its swanky hotels with rich design details, and the iconic IHG (Intercontinental Hotels Group) Club Lounge at the Mark Hopkins Hotel is no exception.  The newly designed space captivates the imagination with design elements that bridge the old-school elements of Nob Hill with modern touches.

The new project was born from the minds of Bay Area Interior designers Gino Castaño and David Lasker from design firm Paletteur. Castaño and Lasker are masters at blending luxury, beauty and function into space. Paletteur’s design places a heavy focus on the hotel’s historic elements through color, pattern and intricate architectural details.

This beautiful mixture of the past and present includes a well-appointed biomorphic style bar clad in bronze mirror and enveloped by a berry colored grass cloth wall covering. Spacious banquette style seating in faux ostrich leather and plush chocolate mohair pillows give the space a masculine touch. Ebony, crème, caramel plum, and bronze upholstery create a palette that beckons to the guest to reside in the space for a while and enjoy the gracious hospitality that intercontinental Hotels is known for.
