Haute Scene: SLS Lux VIP Launch

SLS, The Related Group and The Allen Morris Company launched their new building, SLS Lux, with a big party on their soon-to-be construction site. Yes, there are a few SLS projects underway right now— the one on Brickell, a new condo-hotel in Midtown, but this one is different—this one is ultra luxurious. The soaring tower promises to be a “chic oasis” for residents boasting design by Yabu Pushelberg, a serious art collection of Jorge Perez’s favorite artists like Fabian Burgos and Fernando Botero, and hotel-like services including limousine service and private beach clubs.

VIPs included the aforementioned Jorge Perez, CEO of the Related Group and his wife Darlene; Allen Morris, CEO and Chairman of The Allen Morris Company; Arash Azarbarzin, President of sbe; Edgardo Defortuna, President of Fortune International, and Gallery owner Gary Nader. Even Chef Katsuya Uechi, who is an sbe partner, was on hand not only to make the delicious hors d’oeuvres floating around, but be part of the action as the property will have a Katsuya restaurant to keep those chic Miamians fed after a long day of shopping at the adjacent Brickell City Centre.
