Close Up: Hublot Big Bang Unico FIFA WC Official
With just over a week to go till the World Cup kicks off on June 12, we’re looking at the official watch of soccer’s biggest event!
The Official Watch of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil is the Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Chrono by Hublot, the competition’s Official Timekeeper.
Known as the Big Bang Unico FIFA WC Official, this piece will be produced in two limited editions: 200 pieces in ceramic and 100 pieces in King Gold. The caseback features the official stamp of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.
Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, commented on the unveiling, “Hublot is very proud to be the Official Timekeeper of the FIFA World Cup. This is the most important event on the planet, and its official watch is a Hublot Big Bang! All the fooball fans on all the continents will now recognize this timepiece as the symbol of the World Cup Brazil!”
The one and only Pelé, AKA the King of Football, also commented, saying, “I’m so thrilled to see how Hublot has managed to put together the passion for football and the fervor of Brazil into such an extraordinary piece. I can’t wait for World Cup competition to start!”
