Brooke Shields Hosts Fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association

On Saturday, May 3, The Part the Cloud committee comprised of volunteers from Silicon Valley held a star-studded event to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association with record-breaking results. Over 300 guests attended the black-tie event at the Rosewood Sand Hill Hotel, which was hosted by Actresses Brooke Shields and Virginia Madsen (who took the place of original host Mark Shriver, who had to leave the event due to a personal matter.)

Guests were treated to a live performances by American Rock Musician and Actor, Chris Isaak, who was joined by Bay Area heavy-hitters such as the San Francisco 49ers Ronnie Lott, Harris Barton, producer Chris Columbus and Suzanne Saunders Shaw as well as a host of other A-listers.

“The enthusiasm in the community for Part the Cloud this year has been amazing and it is clear that leaders in Silicon Valley want to change the future of Alzheimer’s and are committed to accelerating innovation research,” said Michaela “Mikey” Hoag, chair, Part the Cloud. “We hope that this event, with a wonderful performance by Chris Isaak and words from Mark Shriver, will inspire attendees to continue their strong support of Alzheimer’s research.”

All funds are directed towards Alzheimer’s research via a new fast tracked grant process. A total of $4 million was raised, deeming this the most successful Alzheimer’s charity event ever!
