Haute Event: Laidback Luke Spins at Light Nightclub

Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay kicked off fight weekend last Friday night with heavy hitter deejay sensation Laidback Luke. The proud papa recently had his third child and arrived in Vegas earlier in the evening. After a quick sound check at Light, he headed stopped by Kumi Japanese Restaurant + Bar at Mandalay Bay, where he indulged in an array of star chef Akira Back’s signature dishes.

Then it was off to a packed house at Light, where thousands of excited party-goers awaited him. He jumped on the decks at 12:30 a.m. dominating the decks with bass-intensive beats and tracks that quaked the nightclub and had fans on the dance floor all night. During his highly anticipated set he unleashed a monster mash-up of the hottest dance club anthems, while the nightclub’s Cirque du Soleil artists performed breathtaking choreography suspended in the air above the dance floor. Also during his show, one lucky couple got engaged in the DJ booth, making this weekend in Vegas a time for lovers and fighters.
