Haute Event: The 7th Annual George Lopez Celebrity Golf Classic

The Seventh Annual George Lopez Celebrity Golf Classic & Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championship was a day of golfing on the green for a very, very good cause.

Hosted by George Lopez, the tournament format is “Two Man Modified Best Ball” of five-somes with full handicap to benefit the former talk show host’s Lopez Foundation. The charity’s mission is to create positive, permanent change for underprivileged children, adults and military families confronting challenges in education and health, as well as increasing community awareness about kidney disease and organ donation.

Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Andy Garcia, Joe Pesci, Sugar Ray Leonard, Jesse Metcalfe, Anthony Anderson, Alan Thicke, Tim Allen, Cheech Marin, Wilmer Valderrama, Aimee Garcia, Joe Mantegna, Kevin Rahm, Tommy Chong and Jack Wagner were among the names that came out to play for the cause on May 5 at the Lakeside Golf Club in Toluca Lake, Calif. 

Celebrities were also gifted by GBK at the event, which was sponsored in part by Sabra Salsa, Rusnak Auto Group, Mercedes-Benz Dealer, Lionsgate and the Sheri and Roy P. Disney Family.
