Barbara Walters Donates Archives To Her Alma Mater Sarah Lawrence College

Barbara Walters is committed to giving back to the university that helped shape her into the seasoned news journalist she is today. The veteran broadcaster, who recently retired from co-hosting The View, said that she plans to donate her archives, including papers, recordings and photographs from her television career, to Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, her alma mater.

The 84-year-old television personality shared the exciting news at at the college’s commencement ceremony late last week, when she stopped by to show her support to the recent graduating class.

According to The Journal News, Walters paid tribute to her professor, Joseph Campbell, in her commencement remarks. “What he told us and what he hoped we would remember was to follow our bliss,” she revealed. “I had no idea what my bliss was. So if you are like me and you have no idea what your bliss is, get a job. I promise you that bliss will come.”
