Haute Yacht of the Week: Glass
Glass is a futuristic concept yacht conceived by celebrated architect Lujac Desautel.
Inspired by skyscrapers, the stunning, light-filled vessel is constructed of three vertically-stacked cubic levels atop a floating platform, offering uninhibited 360-degree ocean views from every room. The yacht is entered by way of illuminated “acropolis-like” stairs. The second level boasts a luxurious sunken living room, a dining room and cocktail lounge complete with a piano. Glass’ proposed amenities include multiple spacious bedrooms and a spa and fitness room with a pool.
Desautel, who designed the yacht for a world-renowned composer, calls Glass “a response to its context and ever-changing environment, maintaining essence of place through its architectural design, surface textures and sensitivity of material.”
