First Annual Calistoga Food and Wine Event Coming April 11
Save the date for the first annual Calistoga Food and Wine celebration on Friday, April 11. Hosted by Solage Calistoga – the beautiful, eco-luxurious resort in Napa Valley with stunning views of the Mayacama Mountains -the program’s “Grand Tasting” will feature live music from the Tipsy Gypsy Quartet and samplings from 30 premiere Calistoga wineries paired with bites and small plates from the Solbar kitchen. The event will be co-hosted by the Calistoga Winegrowers and Executive Chef Brandon Sharp who helms the resort’s Michelin-starred Solbar restaurant.
Chef Brandon Sharp will begin this epicurean adventure with his beloved savory small bites – including favorites like grilled pork tenderloin al pastor, bruschetta of homemade ricotta and delta asparagus, house-cured ham, and raclette en presse – along with live cooking stations featuring locally-grown, seasonal ingredients. Chef’s culinary creations will be paired with tastings from 30 neighboring wineries including Chateau Montelena, Kenefick Ranch Winery, Dutch Henry Winery and Clos Pegase Winery, while live music from the Tipsy Gypsy Quartet will round out the under-the-stars festivities.
“We are thrilled to launch this festive experience for food and wine lovers at Solage Calistoga,” says Richard Hill, general manager of Solage Calistoga, an Auberge Resort. “Along with our Calistoga Winegrower partners, we look forward to raising our glasses to our region’s world-class wines and cuisine, and creating a memorable epicurean adventure that will attract guests and visitors for years to come.”
