Carmelo Anthony’s Haute Time Watch of the Day: Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Square Wheel

Today’s Haute Time Watch of the Day is The Masterpiece Square Wheel by Maurice Lacroix.

As one of the newest timepieces to come from the brand at Baselworld 2014, the Masterpiece Square Wheel exhibits the innovation of the brand along with some originality and unconventionality.

Powered by a Maurice Lacroix Automatic Manufacture Calibre ML 156 movement and featuring a design patented square and clover shaped wheel visible on the dial, this timepiece uses the movement bridge and chassis as the dial. The square wheel and clover wheel transfer power and also add a design element to the timepiece dial. The white sun ray finished dial features applied indexes to mark the hours, minutes and power reserve indication and seconds are noted on the square wheel.

The case is 43mm and a combination of polished and satin finished steel and features a domed sapphire crystal and case-back. Fitted with a large-scale crocodile skin strap and folding steel clasp with push buttons, the Maurice Lacroix Square Wheel is a wonderful addition to the Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Collection and certainly a wonderful piece to see in motion.
