Steve Madden & Brian Atwood Are Joining Forces To Create Luxury Shoe Brand

Tis the season for collaboration. Last week, Stella McCartney and Angela Jolie‘s revealed their partnership on a new children’s clothing line, and now, shoe gurus Steve Madden and Brian Atwood have announced their plans to join forces on a new luxury footwear line.

The new high-end label, which is expected to retail for the same price point as Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik, will be designed by Atwood and produced by Madden’s team, reports Women’s Wear Daily,  But don’t expect to scoop up the chic shoes at your neighborhood Madden boutique. The pair plans to sell the new line as a separate entity from the retailer’s current stores.

As of now, the joint collection will only consist of women’s shoes, but the duo reveals that handbags and a men’s capsule collection are likely next steps. “The men’s market has changed a lot,” explains Atwood. “Men are more interested in fashion.”
