9132 Jewels from the Estate of Eydie Gorme

A collection of baubles once owned by the late Eydie Gorme made its debut in LA in advance of an auction in New York next month.

The Grammy winner’s designer wares were previewed for one day only at Sotheby’s Los Angeles; they will hit the auction block on April 29th.

The jewels up for sale have a Beverly Hills history: items in the collection include “The Enterprise”, a 15.44 carat pear-shaped diamond ring that Gorme received from husband Steve Lawrence during their 25th wedding anniversary blowout bash at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Other diamonds in the collection include an emerald-cut Harry Winston stone of 17.40 carats, a marquise-shaped D color, Internally Flawless diamond ring received on the occasion of her tenth wedding anniversary, and a 5 carat round diamond in a polished gold mount. Lawrence once gifted Gorme with a gold jeweler’s loupe lovingly engraved, “to Flawless, from VVS2,” further testament to one of the great, enduring romances in show business history.

The pieces will be included in the Magnificent Jewels Spring 2014 sale catalogue.
