Katie Holmes Shuts Down Holmes & Yang Fashion Line
After five years of designing fashionable clothing for the masses, Katie Holmes has announced her plans to part ways with her business partner, Jeanne Yang, and shut down the fashion label Holmes & Yang. Though Holmes has not yet disclosed the reason for the split, various insiders speculate growing conflict between she and Yang.
“They have different approaches to absolutely everything: how to run the company, how to promote it and how to handle the press,” a source told People.
The brand has been sported by countless celebrities including Olivia Wilde, Amy Adams, Nicole Richie, Heidi Klum and Krysten Ritter ever since its debut in 2009, and received positive reviews during its first showing at New York Fashion Week in 2012.
