Save the evening of March 10th for a very special fundraiser!  Producers Lou Adler and Kevin Duncan will present a Starry Evening of Music, Comedy, and Surprises, a star-studded benefit event at Davies Symphony Hall to benefit The Painted Turtle and UCSF Medical Center. Jack Nicholson, Renée Zellweger, Annette Bening, Bonnie Raitt, Danny DeVito, Josh Groban and Randy Newman  will headline this amazing event. Ticket sale proceeds will benefit The Painted Turtle and UCSF Medical Center.

The Painted Turtle, a member of Paul Newman’s renowned SeriousFun camps, is a year-round camp that provides a haven for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses.  In partnership with UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, The Painted Turtle’s Hospital Outreach Program brings the spirit of camp throughout the year to children in the Bay Area who are too sick to attend camp.  Here is a look at some of the work that this amazing organization is doing.

Through unique, medically safe, camp-based programs, The Painted Turtle provides activities and experiences of empowerment and self discovery to children who have been denied their childhoods. The Painted Turtle mission is to continue Paul Newman’s dream of helping as many children as possible recapture the joy of just being a kid. All children and their families attend The Painted Turtle free of charge.

For more than 100 years, UCSF Medical Center has fostered clinical innovations that have brought about dramatic advances in medicine. Ranked among the top hospitals in the nation, UCSF Medical Center and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital are recognized throughout the world as leaders in health care, and are known for innovative medicine, advanced technology and compassionate care. Keeping with its tradition of excellence, UCSF is embarking on a bold plan to build a new children’s, women’s and cancer hospital complex at its groundbreaking Mission Bay campus in San Francisco. The integrated clinical facilities will set a world-class standard for patient care, safety, sustainability and translational medicine – all in an environment centered around the needs of patients and their families.
