Expect a boom in contemporary art sales this May! Hedge-fund manager and acclaimed art collector, Adam Sender, is selling a substantial part of his art collection via auction this spring.

According to Sotheby’s, Sender is unloading approximately 400 works by 139 artists, including pieces by Cindy Sherman, Richard Prince and Dan Flavin. The sales will take place over the course of 18 months, with the first pieces hitting the auction block in May in New York.

“I never could have envisioned the adventure I was embarking on, the passion and at times obsession I would come to have for collecting,” Sender said in the statement.

Sotheby’s expects that Sender’s impressive collection will bring in more than $70 million in total sales. Highlights include Sherman’s photo “Untitled #93,” which Sender purchased in 1998, and has a pre-sale estimate of $2 million to $3 million.
