Haute Yacht of the Week: Riva 122’ Mythos
At an imposing 122 feet, Riva’s new Mythos flagship is the largest aluminum planning yacht ever produced by the historic Ancona shipyard.
The majestic Mythos was designed by Mauro Micheli of Officina Italiana Design, in collaboration with Advanced Yacht Technology (Ferretti Group’s research and naval design center) and architect-design team Centro Stile Ferrettigroup.
The superyacht gets to a peak speed of 27 knots with a cruising speed of 25 knots, thanks to two MTU 12 V 4000 M 93L engines.
Ferrucio Rossi, CEO of Ferretti Group, says the debut of the Mythos “marks a new chapter in Riva’s prestigious 172 year history…We are sure that the new flagship will be an extraordinary ambassador for Riva, for the Ferretti Group, and for the entire Italian boating industry, as a symbol of industrial know-how and unmistakable Italian beauty.”
The Mythos is slated for delivery to the owner in early May.
