Is Alec Baldwin Leaving New York For Good?
Alec Baldwin made waves when he announced his plans to leave New York—for good—in a New York Magazine article last month. “I just can’t live in New York anymore,” he wrote in the publication. “Everything I hated about L.A. I’m beginning to crave… I want my newest child to have as normal and decent a life as I can provide. New York doesn’t seem the place for that anymore.”
And it seems like the 30 Rock actor is following through with his decision. During the Guild Hall Academy of the Arts Lifetime Achievement Awards earlier this week, Baldwin hinted that he was selling his home in the Hamptons, reports the New York Post.
When a board member stated that the East Hampton cultural center purchased a nearby house to be used as an artists’ residence, Baldwin told the crowd, “I have a house for sale as well! It has five bedrooms, a swimming pool and wood-burning fireplace.”
Other notable attendees at the event included Barbara Walters, Blythe Danner, Jo Carole and Ronald Lauder.
