Vanessa Williams To Guest Star in Broadway’s ‘After Midnight’
Vanessa Williams is ready to see her name in lights! The talented actress and singer has announced her plans to join the cast of Broadway’s After Midnight for a limited edition run.
Directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, the fast-paced show features multiple musical numbers that highlight dance, jazz, tap and singing. The performers are accompanied by 17 musicians from Jazz at Lincoln Center.
After attending the matinee performance of the show on Wednesday, the 51-year-old former Miss America popped backstage to share the exciting news with the cast. “It’s an honor to jump in,” she told the Associated Press. “It’s a well-oiled machine, up and running and I think it’ll be a perfect fit.”
Williams will begin her role as a guest vocalist on April 1 and continue through May 11.
