It’s confirmed: E. Stanley Kroenke, the billionaire owner of the St. Louis Rams, Denver Nuggets and super-exclusive Screaming Eagle winery, has purchased a 60-acre lot of land next to Hollywood Park, giving Angelenos hope that an LA-based NFL stadium is soon to come.

Kroenke purchased the former racetrack parking lot, which is owned by Walmart and which originally had an asking price of $95 million, between the newly reopened Inglewood Forum and Hollywood Park.

A rep for entrepreneur confirmed the sale, saying, “We have yet to decide what we are going to do with the property but we will look at all options.”

The Rams were a Los Angeles team before heading to St. Louis, and a Los Angeles-based NFL team has long been a  hot topic of discussion, so watch this space.
