Haute 100 LA Update: James Cameron to Give Address at Oscar Night Charity Event

There’s a big new charity event this Oscar season, and the man responsible for the two highest grossing films of all time is the natural choice to give its inaugural address.

James Cameron will speak at the Fame and Philanthropy benefit on March 2, an intimate event for 500 which will take place on a private estate in Beverly Hills.

There, guests like Charlize Theron will sit to watch the ceremony before the Avatar director takes the stage to discuss his philosophy of activism for worthy causes.

Following Cameron’s speech, 1,000 more guests are expected to arrive for an afterparty that will include musical performances and a live auction.
