Haute Living Watch of the Week: Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Special Homage
This special edition features the collection’s unique chronograph display with a stationary “nib”indicator on a moveable chronograph wheels – the conventional chronograph features moving hands. The ceramic dial is heavily imprinted with Super-LumiNova pigments that can only be seen in the dark – including the hour circles on the main dial at 12 o’clock. It is inspired by Nicolas Rieussec’s first patented chronograph from 1821, originally invented to time horse races. Functions also include a date window, second time zone (via a skeletonized hour hand) and a day/night indicator. It contains Caliber MB R200, with a 72-hour power reserve.
