Haute Event: VIP Kickoff Party for 2014 Yacht and Brokerage Show

Sunset Harbour Yacht Club, Haute Living Magazine and Show Management hosted the kickoff event for the 26th Annual Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach. The invite-only, VIP cocktail party, which took place at Sunset Harbour’s marina and pool area, was the perfect start to the multi-million dollar boat extravaganza that wrapped up yesterday.

The luxurious evening featured a floating Luc Belaire Rosé champagne lounge aboard the 137-foot megayacht Syrenka, courtesy of Bartram & Brakenhoff Yacht Charters, as well as Ferllen wine tastings aboard several luxury yachts by The Advantaged Yacht Charters and Sales. Guests were also privy to a select showcase of Range Rovers by Warren Henry Auto Group and Lou La Vie, and a 2014 luxury crossover was sold within the first 20 minutes of the party.

Mingling around the pool and the Range Rover VIP lounge, guests enjoyed gourmet hors d’oeuvres by Villa Azur, Kitchen Gourmet and Cielgourmet, sipped on premium spirits including Zacapa Rum and Monte Carlo Vodka, and refreshed at Vita Coco Hydration Stations.

Hosts Dana Rhoden of The Dana Agency, April Donelson of Haute Living, Steve Sheer of Show Management/Miami Beach Yacht and Brokerage Show and Doug Mason of SHYC greeted guests and kept the party going through the night. YachtAid Global was on hand to raise awareness of the charity’s mission to deliver humanitarian, development and conservation aid to coastal communities worldwide.

VIP guests included Philip Levine, Miami Beach City Commissioner Michael Grieco, Haute Living publisher Kamal Hotchandani, Kevin Lyttle, professional racecar driver Chapman Ducote, Fabiola Angulo, former NBA player Mark Strickland, Stewart Rahr, Javier Ceriani and artist Stephen Gamson.
