Haute Auto of the Week: 2015 Ferrari California T
With a new 552 horsepower Turbo V8 engine, retractable hardtop, direct motorsports steering and the capability of accelerating 0 to 100 km in 3.6 seconds, the new 2015 Ferrari California T is all you could ask for in an Italian sports car. Since the 1950s, this particular model has been the Prancing Horse’s finest embodiment of sportiness, elegance, and versatility.
Now, the California T offers aficionados of the legendary automaker the ability to own a convertible and coupe in one package. It’s the consummate opportunity for a Ferrari fanatic.
The “T” equates to new levels of performance, emissions, power and efficiency in the California’s new Turbo V8 engine. While reducing turbo lag completely and providing torque in any gear due to Variable Boost Management, the vehicle significantly improves on fuel consumption (-15%) and emissions (250 g/km of CO2). Moreover, the retractable hardtop is able convert the Prancing Horse from coupe to convertible in just 14 seconds. A purified semi-aniline, leather-trimmed passenger compartment also offers the capacity of the signature 2+ configuration.
