If Colorado is one of the country’s capitals for microbrews, then Aspen is adding is adding another establishment to put its name on that map. HOPS Culture will open on the Hyman Avenue mall this spring, the Aspen Times reported, with 30 beers on tap, rotating from more than 200 different types. The 3,700-square foot space can fit about 100 people, and owner Bill Guth says he plans to use part of the alley’s pedestrian mall as a place to serve drinks and food outside too. The menu will consist of sandwiches and salads.

HOPS Culture is across from Zocalito and formerly house the Cooking School of Aspen and Nine Steakhouse. With a fireplace and TVs, Guth says he plans to be open year-round. There is no set date to open, but he’s hoping for spring once construction is finished.
