News | January 24, 2014

The San Francisco Opera hosted an exquisite gala dinner on the stage of the War Memorial Opera House on Dec. 2. It celebrated the 75th Anniversary of SF Opera Guild giving voice to potential through education and outreach programs that bring opera center stage into the life of the community. The evening also honored California Chief of Protocol Charlotte Mailliard Schultz. Visionary event stylist Riccardo Benavides transformed the Opera House stage into a magnificent dinner setting and dance floor. Co-chaired by Ena Chan Crastenburg, Sandra Farris and Katie Jarman, more than 200 attendees dined on the opera house’s stage before dancing to tunes played by the Dick Bright Orchestra. The evening raised funds for San Francisco Opera Guild’s arts education programs for over 50,000 students throughout Northern California.
